Louie DePasquale (he/him)
Louie took his first yoga class in 2013 and was instantly captivated. The sweaty, power flows he began attending daily quickly became his favorite counterbalance to his time spent behind a desk and his mind’s constant chatter. In 2016 he completed his first 200 hour teacher training and began teaching in Boston.
In the years that followed, Louie attended two 300 hour Vinyasa trainings, traveled to New York, Kripalu, and Greece for week-long intensives, and achieved his certification as a Katonah Yoga® instructor. He is fortunate to have worked with master teachers including Ally Bogard, Natasha Rizopoulos, and Abbie Galvin. Always a student first, he continues his studies with Emily Tevald.
Louie infuses ideas and theory from all of his studies into his practice and teaching. Vinyasa Flow reminds him of the power in linking focused attention, rhythmical breathing, and intentional movement as a tool for responding to life with more choice. Heated Flow shows him how to practice discipline, self-study, and self-trust in the face of challenging circumstances. Katonah Yoga® helps him see the value in using well-organized maps and good technique as a route to finding more freedom and achieving potential.
In his classes, Louie invites students to get out of their comfort zones and welcome in their curiosity, not to become better shape-performers, but to learn tools and techniques that can help to glean insight, foster well-being, and cultivate joy.
